The Beauty Of Collaboration With Like Minded People

What comes to mind when you hear the word collaboration? If I’m being completely honest, I never thought of myself as someone who would ever participate in a project that required me to collaborate and work together with multiple people.

See, I am an introvert, I like working alone, I’m more of a mindset that if I need something done, the only way to get it done right is to do it myself. That’s the recovering perfectionist side of me.

Over the last year or so, I’ve been working on challenging some of those believes and pushing myself to step out of my comfort zone and open myself up to more opportunities if they presented themselves.

It’s funny how when you open yourself up to the Universe, it finds a way to reward you.

So, a few months ago such opportunity did present itself. An opportunity to collaborate with 20 other individuals to be a part of a book project. An opportunity to become a co-author and write a chapter about sharing my transformation story.

My initial thought was “no way!”, I used every excuse I could think of as to why it wasn’t going to work, but then I had to stop myself and really think about what an amazing opportunity that would be. Not only to help my launch my career forward, but to learn how to become truly vulnerable and open up to complete strangers.

Setting all my fears aside, I took this project on, and so far this experience has been absolutely incredible. Not only did I connect with 20 beautiful souls, but we have grown together so much emotionally in these past few months.

We’ve cried together, laughed together, poured our hearts out to each other and in the process we are all learning how to truly love ourselves

This book is coming out officially in May, but it is available for pre-purchase today. If you are interested in learning more about this project – you can visit our website at ourtransformativejourney.com
