I know what you’re thinking, you want me to quit doing things instead of trying new things? Yes!!!
But hear me out!
Sometimes we keep doing the same things over and over again expecting different results. Didn’t Einstein say that was the definition of insanity?
Our minds are so ingrained in our daily habits, that we often forget to stop and ask ourselves are those habits and behaviors actually good for us? Are they moving us close to our goals?
So, what exactly are those things you need to quit doing? Here they are:
- Quit waiting to feel happy.
Happiness isn’t just going to come out of nowhere, just because you are wishing for it. Yes – I am all for utilizing the Law of Attraction to manifest happiness into your life, but your frame of mind isn’t going to magically change from unhappy to happy because you wish for it. You have to start training your mind to think happy thoughts, replace every negative thought with two positives, reframe those things that make you feel unhappy and either change them or learn from them.
2. Quit living in the past.
The past is gone, it’s over, you can’t change it – no matter how hard you try. Your past does not define the person you are today and the person you will be tomorrow. Learn from your past and as Elsa would say, Let It Go! Don’t repeat the mistakes from your past, don’t bring that negativity into your present
3. Quit blaming other people.
It’s so much easier to put the blame on other people than to look inside and really evaluate how you are responsible for your own actions and your response to other people’s actions around you. Become accountable for your choices and consequences of those choices.
4. Quit expecting life to be fair.
Because let’s face it, LIFE IS NOT FAIR, sometimes bad things happen to good people and sometimes bad people get away with doing awful things. Things don’t always go as planned, be prepared for it, accept it and find solutions.
5. Quit waiting for other people to make you happy.
The only person who can make you feel truly happy is YOU! If you are not happy with yourself – you will not attract positive people into your life. So if you are miserable and unhappy – those are the types of relationships you are going to attract into your life. And even if you do form a healthy relationship, if you are not happy with yourself – you will find a way to sabotage it.
So! What do you think? Are these doable for you? Which one of these steps will you be prioritizing?
